Since 1 May 2025, every non-Thai national entering Thailand by air, land, or sea must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before arrival. It replaces the old paper TM.6 arrival/departure card for most travelers.
We Thais want your entry to go smoothly — submit TDAC early, keep your confirmation or QR code ready, and pair this with our travel checklist and visa guide.
Who needs to submit TDAC?
- All foreign nationals entering Thailand, including tourists, business visitors, and transit passengers who clear immigration.
- Thai nationals do not use TDAC; they use Thai ID or passport as usual.
- Applies whether you enter on visa exemption, visa on arrival, or a pre-arranged visa.
- Children and infants need their own submission (or can be included in a group submission).
When to submit
Submit no more than 3 days (72 hours) before your arrival date in Thailand — the official window opens 72 hours ahead of your entry date. If your plans change, update your submission on the official site before you arrive.
Example: arriving Friday — you may submit from Tuesday onward (within the 72-hour window). Each entry requires a new TDAC.
Step-by-step submission
- Go to the official portal: tdac.immigration.go.th (English available).
- Select Arrival Card and choose your language.
- Enter passport details, nationality, flight or border crossing information, and accommodation address in Thailand.
- Answer health and purpose-of-visit questions as shown on the form.
- Review and submit. Save your confirmation number and QR code (screenshot or PDF).
- At immigration, show the QR code or confirmation when asked — officers may scan it to speed up processing.

Group and family submission
One person can submit TDAC for a group (family or tour group) on the official site. Add each traveler’s passport details under the group option. Each member still needs to be listed individually — do not skip children.
Keep one copy of the group confirmation or individual QR codes for everyone in your party.
TDAC kiosks at major airports
If you forgot to submit online, self-service kiosks are available at international terminals — but lines can be long at peak hours. We strongly recommend completing TDAC before you fly.
- BKK — Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok)
- DMK — Don Mueang Airport (Bangkok)
- HKT — Phuket International Airport
- CNX — Chiang Mai International Airport
- HDY — Hat Yai International Airport (Southern Thailand)
See our airport arrival guide for immigration and transport tips at each airport.
Scam warning — do not pay for TDAC
TDAC on the official Immigration Bureau site is 100% free. Unofficial websites, “visa service” agents, and paid mobile apps may charge 20–50 USD or more for the same form. They are not affiliated with Thai immigration.
- Official URL only: https://tdac.immigration.go.th
- Never enter payment card details on a TDAC form — the real site does not charge.
- Be wary of Google ads or social media posts linking to copycat domains.
FAQ
Is TDAC the same as a visa?
No. TDAC is an arrival declaration. You still need a valid passport and appropriate visa or visa exemption. See our visa guide.
What if my flight is delayed past the 72-hour window?
Submit based on your scheduled arrival. If you miss the window, use an airport kiosk or submit as soon as you can before reaching the immigration desk.
Do I need a printed copy?
A screenshot or PDF on your phone is usually enough. Have it offline in case airport Wi‑Fi is slow.
Land border crossings?
Yes — TDAC is required for land and sea entry too, within the same 72-hour rule.
Transit passengers?
If you do not pass through immigration (remain in transit), TDAC may not apply. If you clear immigration for any reason, submit TDAC.
